Just got this years ins quote in for my ZS EV 2022 it’s practically doubled to £450 with a £250 excess ok I’m getting on in years (73) but clean licence n no claims anyone advise on cheaper insurance

Each year I check the major comparison sites for the best (not neccessarily the cheapest) quote.

There's been a fair bit in the press about motor insurance going up pretty steeply recently. Insurers are passing on the increased repair costs, car hire costs etc.

Just got my renewal on the ZS - they've added £180! I'll be off to the comparison sites soon, but I'm not hopeful of a reasonable premium.

Everything's insane at the moment, prices of fuel, food, and so on, then we get hit with this nonsense.

Mine increased by 30% this month. comparison sites no help with marginally cheaper quotes being telematics type

Mine increased by over £100, I shopped around and got it for less than last year

The one we were with chanced their arm and increased our renewal quote for no reason at all, went on Moneysavingexpert.com and saw a few cheaper options ended up paying the same for better cover but could have gone a lot cheaper. Just a matter of shopping around.
