(Quick meerkat Hastings Essential 532, Hastings Direct 567 - was with Hastings before this year but they didn't have the MG4 on the system when I got the car so had to move)

As I've said previously, it seems my renewal came at the optimum time this year. I paid ~£365 (pro-rata, if calculated over 12 months) last year with Admiral multicover (so the car insurance expired alongside the house insurance at the end of May). The Admiral renewal was ~£590 and came down to £440 when I called them. I ended up going with Aviva Zero for £365 - so in effect I had no cost increase.
