Insurance ?

I hope that is a sarcastic "who am I to complain" because I only pay 20% tax on my income lol and then 50% on anything above 100k...
This has confused me I know it don't take. Much but UK tax is 0%,20%,40%,45%

That must have changed in the last couple years as it used to be 0, 20, 40, 50...
last couple 😂😂
In 2010, a new top rate of 50% was introduced on income over £150,000 p.a. In the 2012 budget, this rate was cut to 45% with effect from 6 April 2013.

There is a specific ZS model you have to input. Can't remember what it is, but I looked in January when I ordered mine.
Its more like a specific MG company you have to put. On the AXA site, I think there were at least 3, MG, MG Motors, MG UK (or something like that), The ZS EV was only listed on one. Another is for the legacy MGs. Directline won't quote at all for a ZS EV. I had to leave them.

Remind me never to complain about the UK tax system ever again... this is rough...
Yes, but in the Scandanavian countries they use that tax on the right things. Those countries run like clockwork. Not run by Boris the bluffer and his merry band of shyster muppets.
I would happily pay more tax for a slick health service, excellent public services and a transport system fit for purpose.
Also, if taxes here were that higher, employers would have to pay more or they wouldn't have any workers.

Give with one hand take with another my Union got us a 8.4% pay rise then upped the union fees by the same 8.4

Yeah and i haven't even told you about the registration tax on cars. (EV's are exempt from these taxes, other than 25% VAT, and we have NO incentive programmes)

Take the raw price of a car, from the factory and add

25% on the first £7500
85% on the next £15.800
150% on anything above those 2 combined.

Tell me about it, I could not get a quote from my current company as the reg was not in the database and any description of the car I could give did not come up on their computer system. Finally went with the AA but still had to talk to a supervisor before they would quote.
Pop onto YouTube for a UK review and make a note of the number plate. (It will probably be a blue trophy connect.)

Hi Ian, what aftermarket wheels do you have on your MG5 LR. What size alloys are you running and whats the fitment like? Got any pictures you can share?

Cost of living is insane.

Tax is something like 42% on everything, then 8% on top for everyone working and then 1% church tax (I have never been a member of the church so i save that 1%)

Everything i make a year, that is above £62.350 is hit with an additional 15%

When i paid my taxes, and i go to buy something, there is a 25% VAT on top of that.

Oh and then there are extra taxes on cigarettes, alcohol, nuts, sugar, chokolate, petrol, diesel, gas and....I kid you not, the air in softice, just to name a few.

From the taxes i can deduct any debt (33% of the interest on the loan), and i get a small amount as compensation for driving to work (First 15 miles per day is not deductible).

Its one big socialist nightmare where we give "all of our money" to the government, and they redistribute it to those who they see fit.

For example right now other countries are lowering the VAT or taxes on goods, but here, they are not going to lower those, they would much rather have some highly paid people redistribute them, only to the "so called poor". (The same demographics that usually vote for those, currently in power...Total coincidense by the way :) )

PS. Sadly the "other side" of the parliament is not a lot better, here we sadly only have different shades of socialism..
It is the second happiest country in the world. https://edition.cnn.com/travel/article/world-happiest-countries-2023-wellness/index.html

Goes to show that people like to be punished.

When you tax the 10% that makes the most money very hard, to be able to take this money and give to someone that does make as much, you take away the incentive for the 10% to work harder, but you get 90% that feels better, because they got "free money" from the government.

We have an insane amount of financial support schemes so in reality most of danes are "state subsidised"

Have kids....You are paid "child support"

Single parent.... You get "single provider support", "Pay the rent support", "Free spot in kindergarden" and so on..

Someone cleaning your house....That's a deductible

Paying interst in a loan...That's a deductibe

Travel more than 16 miles to and from work...That's a deductible

And so on.

There are so many support packages, especially for single parents, which means that if you are a non educated single mom for example it is hardly worth it to get a job, as a lot of the perks you get, is "Pay it yourself" if you get a job, so they just stay unemployed "forever"

There is no incentive for these people to get a job.

But...As long as the 90% feel they are getting "free money" from the state, they are happy. It's a big scam, but most people are not wise enough to see that they are essentially being "fed their own tail"
