Has anyone had recent experience of this fault message and can advise on the best way forward. It appeared on my 23 plate ZS EV LR Trophy yesterday and beeped at me throughout my 100 mile journey. I've tried the 12V battery disconnect but with no joy and I've just contacted my local dealer who can give me a "diagnostic" appointment in 11 days time - at a cost of £252!!!!!!!! If it proves to be a warranty issue this fee will be waived. The car drives OK but I am also getting a warning message about the emergency brake system fault too. Both the front radar and camera are clean.

contact another dealer for repairs under warranty. if you post the photos of the messages you get, might be easier to understand; also, not sure what settings you have for "intelligent assist", try turning them off, see what happens?

As suggested, I attach photos of the fault message and of another message which appeared when I selected reverse to exit my drive this morning. Not quite sure why I get a message about the front radar when selecting reverse?

Just to close this one down. Managed to get a diagnostic appointment today after nearly 2 week wait. They checked both the radar and front camera, both OK, then found an overheating/stuck relay which they fortunately had in stock so it was replaced under the warranty and all seems well now.

Hi- thanks for sharing here. I’ve just had the same thing happen to me! I have a MG ZS EV. It’s a leased car under warranty too. Advised to call aa then if not go to MG repair specialist. Called AA but they couldn’t fix it. Is it still safe to drive in the meantime whilst I wait for the earliest appointment?

I had no problems driving mine until the garage could look at it. You need to be aware that a number of the driver aids/warnings will not be working, but you have probably been driving for many years without any of these in your previous cars. The constant "bonging" of the audible alarm will become increasingly annoying too.

I got exactly the same error 4 days ago on my wife's ZS EV. Just got the car back yesterday and the guy said the issue was the relay and they have replace it. The error is now fixed.

I'm reaching out regarding my MG ZS EV TROPHY LONG RANGE. It has been in and out of the MG garage for updates and had its BCM unit replaced about four weeks ago. Everything seemed fine until a few days ago, but unfortunately, the errors have returned. Could you please provide any advice or assistance on how to proceed?

It seems our September 2023 LR Trophy Connect (with 10,000 miles on the clock) is showing the same issue. It started the other day and initially cleared after I cleaned all the sensors. I only drove a couple of miles before parking it, and the car hasn’t been out since. Now the problem is back with a vengeance, even though the sensors still look clean.

Along with the constant warning chimes you mentioned, the left and right indicators have become erratic—sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. The airbag and seatbelt lights also stay illuminated on the panel near the sunroof controls. It’s all a bit worrying, to say the least.

I’ll be contacting the garage first thing on Monday, as I don’t feel confident driving it with so many warning lights showing at once. I’ll also bear your post about the relay in mind when I call. Thank you.

Hi Daver. I did send a message regarding our car exhibiting the same issues as yours and I had hoped to get it sorted. However, this has turned into a bit of a nightmare, trying to book an appointment with the local dealership. The first available appointment is 19th January 2026, which is shocking! I have managed to book an appointment with another dealership, which is 30 miles away. Of all the warning lights and chimes that are constantly going off, the one I'm concerned about most is the air bag warning light flashing all the time. Was that also one of the symptoms you noticed during your issues? We're not intending on using the car, albeit, it's our only car, for the next couple of weeks, other than driving to the appointment. Thanks in advance for any advice.
