Is my driver's seat missing a piece of trim?

I have a 2022 Trophy, right-hand drive. Although I have had the car since last year I had not noticed before part of the driver's seat that looks like it should have a piece of trim on it. The location is the bottom of the seat base next to the centre console (see photo). I would be grateful if other Trophy owners could look at their driver's seat and let me know if the piece of metal should have something covering it or if it is just how the seat is finished. Thanks
