ISMART app issues

Hi,

I have taken delivery of my MG4 today. It’s a second hand car and I’m having issues with the ISMART app. I can’t seem to register at all. I believe there should be a QR code on the initial page but there isn’t.

I have checked all the policy’s have been accepted as I’ve seen this can cause issues.

I’ve tried logging in with email and phone but no joy. I only get an error which states “implementation is failed, please try again later.”

The car appears to have full 4g connectivity.

Any ideas?

The old owner probably hasn't "unbound" their account. Apparently MG themselves can do this for you.


N.B. There is supposedly some issue with the back end MG servers that may be causing this, but if the issue remains after a couple of days I'd strongly suspect the first reason, particularly as it's a second hand car.

Call MG customer service they can unbind it for you.

Hey, yes I believe there was a bug in the system over the Christmas period. The issue resolved itself without having to get anything unbound
