We have had our Australian MG4 Essence (UK Trophy) for 3 weeks and think it’s a great car. When we collected it the dealer had neglected to apply a software patch to enable the Australian navigation system so we had that done. At the same time we reported 2 problems.
1. We have not been able to get any device to pair with the car’s Bluetooth. When the dealer handed the car back they said it was working but at home it refuses to see any of 2 iPhones or an iPad.
2. One of the keys does not enable the buttons on either the driver or passenger door. Pressing the buttons on the key fob unlocks and locks the doors and the car recognises the key to enable normal driving but pressing the door buttons with the key nearby has no effect. At first I thought we had 2 faulty door buttons but then found that the second key consistently works as designed. The dealer was puzzled and has done the dreaded referral to MG. I’ve since changed the battery in the faulty key but it has made no difference.
Any experience and suggestions with either problem would be appreciated.
