Keyfob only recognized if placed over sensor

It’s not the batteries in the keyfob. It’s been diagnosed as the sensor within the MG. Is there a device which I could place over the sensor directly that would then communicate with my keyfob. It’s becoming very painful to lock the car using the physical key.

Is the car booked in for a fix?

Could be something related to your collision until crash data is removed there is also a fuse for the keyless entry
