Does anyone else have trouble with LKA?

The car doesn't stay in the centre of the white lines, it waits until the car is almost touching one of the white lines and then moves the steering wheel to compensate and sends the car to the other white line so the car just ‘bounces’ between the lines.

i have tried all 3 sensitivity settings and all that does is make the car more or less jurky when it strays towards the white lines.

We got our ZS LR Trophy a couple of weeks ago, and as far as I can tell, MG Pilot only seems to do the adaptive cruise whilst the lane assist/following is just to swerve the car back into lane. There is nothing extra I can turn on in the MG Pilot settings menu

Are you turning on MG Pilot when driving. You have to pull once on the lower stick to turn on Adaptive Cruise Control. This enables ACC and Lane Keep Assist.

To turn on MG Pilot you then need to do a “double pull” on the lower stick to enable MG Pilot.

The button on the end of the stick will turn either ACC or MG Pilot On/Off depending which mode you are in.

I will post up a short video to demonstrate.

Bear in mind that the manual is written in chinglish and wouldn't be worth the paper it was written on if it was written on paper!

I have LKA set to off, so it only sets ACC for me.

Does anyone NOT have LKA turned off, it's awful.

I have LKA turned off.

MG Pilot is completely different and not related to LKA.

A bit like “driver assist” features found in ALL cars with such a feature it is only really suitable for use when on dual carriageways or motorways. Country lanes and town driving are not really suitable for its use.

LKA is part of Pilot. Technically MG Pilot consists of all the driver assistance aids.

What we drivers on this forum refer to as MG Pilot is the bit where it controls the speed and steers itself when we use it on the motorway, which is ACC+LKA (whether we have turned it off or not)+TJA etc. etc.

Agreed.

However, LKA on its own with ACC does not hold the centre of the lane, it bounces off each side to try and keep you within the confines of the lane.

MG Pilot actually holds the centre of the lane (or at least tries to). Turning LKA off does not affect the function of MG Pilot.
