Hi All,

I’m taking delivery of my MG4 Trophy next month and have been looking at dash cams.

I’m after some advice please as i’m not sure if I should just get a front or front & rear, the issue being that it’s a lease car so I don’t want to be popping off panels etc for the cabling for the rear camera.

I’ve looked at the dash cams that have the rear facing camera built into the front camera but they tend to be huge and don’t seem to get great reviews.

I guess my question is do you think a rear camera is essential or should I just settle for the front facing?

Thanks all

We've got ones that just sucker onto the front and rear windscreens. They run off the USB ports in front and back, no panel removal necessary. We run the wire for the front one through the glovebox, and for the rear one it pushes in between the seats in order to keep it under control. It might not work if you carry rear passengers often, but for us, it's a low hassle, low cost fix.
