Thought I’d do a quick LKA guide for beginners

1] you will feel a nudge of the wheel, maybe a beep
2] yell “F YOU CAR” loudly
3] lean over and fumble with the touch screen while driving poorly
4] curse yourself for not remembering to turn it off before you left
5] curse MG for making it so the system turns it back on next time you use the car

Captain, May I remind you the regulations specify thrusters only while in space dock...

You always need to follow the correct procedures for departure

The SC077 update has improved it markedly.
It actually follows the sensitivity setting and doesn't pull the wheel out of your hands.

I'm just presuming my X Power came with all the updates that where available at the time, as I don't seem to have any of the reported problems. Picked mine up on 14th September 2024. And asked them to make sure all the updates where done. And they said they had.
Never switch the LKA off at all. 🙂👍

Me too. If you wish to disable it in the dropdown menu and you use AA, this menu is no longer available unless you disable AA.

I believe that is down to android and apple, they see it as a safety risk (software wise) or something. It’s been mentioned before on the forums but can’t fully recall what their reasoning was. It’s not a choice MG made though.

That's odd. I wonder if UK is different in this respect. I haven't had SO77 implemented yet and am still on R63. However, if I turn off LKA it stays disabled until next power cycle, despite using AA, which I invariably do.

When you are in AA, can you drag down the options menu from the top of the screen? Or do you have to go back to the main menu of the car before it lets you drag down? I believe this is what NLMGSAN is revering to.

I’m pretty sure i’m on the latest software. But roads where i live mean it will never work properly I think. I’d like MG to change the behaviour of the steering wheel acc button - make it so long press turns LKA off when ACC is not active.

Ah, see what you mean, if AA is selected before LKA is disabled, I have to hit the physical Home button (which turns off AA), then go to the drop down menu. However, once LKA is then turned off, I can reselect AA and LKA will stay off.
I do this each power cycle as AA starts automatically as soon as I switch on (I have a wireless AA unit).
