Hi, has anyone else had these - see attached photo - (grey on a white car at least) small scratches appear on their MG4? This is now the third time it's happened for us, in 3 different spots (this one on the rear nearside passenger door, others on the rear tailgate and rear offside wheel arch).

They come out with T-cut, but I don't want to keep doing that. I've looked at other 'scratches' posts on here but don't think they're the same thing. Grateful for any suggestions.

This reminds me of something that bugged me when I was at school. A particular pattern of what looked like grease spots appearing on the covers of books that were in my schoolbag, the spots being in a shallow curve and getting smaller as they went. It took me literally years to realise what was doing it.

Well c'mon. What was it? 😉🙂👍

Doesn't look like, scratches to me. Are you
brushing past it with summut, or is someone else, bikes maybe. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for all the responses, wasn't notified for some reason but am not ignoring you! Appreciate the responses and they're all good, they may well have been marks rather than actual scratches, but they were very ingrained, would not just wash or rub off, it took the t-cut to remove them, so IDK. It's at the end of our driveway (nearest the garage) and no bikes anywhere near, so again it could be that but it'd have taken someone to make a really special effort to do it, lol.

Can you feel it is scratches and not deposits?
Good point, they weren't rough to the touch, but they were also not just surface marks.

Looks like the marks you can get from an airline hose when you pull it over the car to do the tyres furthest from the machine
maybe but that has never been done in this case (have portable air compressor)

It does look like rubber from bike tyres, maybe you should give them a bit more room when passing ;)

Made me laugh! Weirdly though it's been sitting on the drive, immobile, since September and this appeared a few days ago.

Well c'mon. What was it? 😉🙂👍
mouldy sandwich at the bottom of the bag? ;-)

Close. A crumb of something greasy, I suspect maybe biscuit. Caught in between two books, leaves a grease spot. Then the contents of the bag move, the crumb falls a little further, a new smaller grease spot starts to form, rinse and repeat.
