I love mine, had it nearly two months now.
Beautiful drive, I get a good 3.9 mls per kWh, less if I blast the heating but I expected that.
Good range even though it's cold weather right now. Heated seats and wheel are brill!
Performance is

amazing
Dealer was brill with a warranty issue, small upholstery defect I should have spotted.
Get good charge speeds out and about, never had a 'non charge'.
Honestly it's a great car!
There are quirks... Yes, there are. Things that I imagine MG are going to work out of thier product line over time, silly things like menu settings not 'sticking', lights and screen brightness quirks (auto full beams suck, also android auto seems to kick out the night time screen brightness - hard to reproduce and so intermittent). But they are low level things. The app does need work, let's just be honest

it really needs a work over from a usability perspective. You shouldn't have to guess which menu or options button things are hiding away under. But it works.
My thoughts before buying was... Yes, they've done it, they've made a roughly 30k car, with the right range, with the right look and feel, they've really made the cabin more welcoming, yup they've done it. And months later I feel the same!
Read about any manufacturers 'quirks' they've all got them. A friend who has a 'popular' European car, absolutely despises his purchase, not only for the 'quirks' that aren't really even quirks IMHO but bigger issues that in hindsight he wishes he had seen. But then even those too will work them out, EVs are a whole new product range in my opinion they are going through a range of value and proposition shifts and will keep doing so.
MG S5 for me hits a stable-ish position in a moving market, and for me it had that 'old slipper' feel, it just worked.
Enjoy it, don't try to compare it

they all differ for better and worse. Some unacceptably so, not the S5 (again IMHO).
Good luck, and enjoy!
