Merry Xmas MGS5

I bought mine completely sight unseen, having never driven one and not even knowing what it looked like.

I had intended to buy an MG4, but the deal on the MGS5 was so compelling that I just bought it on the phone. I had paid a deposit within 12 minutes of picking up the phone.

And despite that foolishness, I have no buyer's remorse whatsoever. I'm really glad I bought it.

Yes, the radio is crap, but I just use BBC Sounds and Global Player on my iPhone, so that problem goes away.

Apart from that, it's a great car. It's pleasant to drive, very economical, excellent performance, well equipped, what's not to like?

But Christmas? That's a completely different matter. Bah humbug, I can't wait for it to be over, so I can resume my grey, pointless existence for another 11 months until we have to endure it again. Rinse and repeat until I die.

I'm the same. Christmas is OK when you are a child or have children of your own but now it goes on for months it isn't special any more.

When I was young my father didn't decorate the house until me and my brother had gone to bed on Christmas Eve. The feeling of wonderment when we came downstairs on Christmas day to see our home transferred into Santa's grotto, well perhaps not that far, but you know what I mean, has gone from peoples lives.
