Message icon on top left of screen

Hi - Just collected our new MG HS Hybrid + and are really pleased with the car.

We have a text message icon with a red dot in the top left of the infotainment screen.

Does anyone know what this is?

Is it just a red dot and nothing else @Andrewkuk, if it's showing when the car is locked, it's probably the vehicle alarm.

It's an envelope (like a text message symbol) with a red light in the corner.

That'll be your phone info, you must have a message or notification on your mobile.

No text or notifications as my phone is not connected to the car yet. We have sent destinations to the sat nav from the ISmart app but it won't show in the car either.

I finally found out that it was a message in the cars system. If you swipe left and click user icon it was a message to say the car was registered with MG and a Sat Nav POi for the dealership. It's not anything to do with my mobile text messages or notifications.
