Hi
Long story short.
In a car park last week, had to reverse out.
Very small car park, with one row of bays, it very dark, and muggy wet weather.
Got into car, checked review mirror and camera, but nothing but muddy blackness behind me.
As I couldnt be sure of what was behind I opened both driver and passenger windows, to check and slowly reversed out, (with left hand lock)
BUMP!!!!
Parked perpendiculer to, and behind me (about 4 mtrs away) was a huge, very very black Mitsubishi type "truck" with chunky running bars etc. (he should not have parked there really, but it happens)
We went through the motions of checking for damage, but I think i actually hit the front wheel Tyre which was on near enough, full lock.
Anyway to my point, why did the car not warn me with the rear sensors?
Well! after checking in the cold light of day, the darn things are really quiet!
I had the windows open, so there was other noise that may have drowned out the beeps?
And yes I accept it was my error, so beat me up.
so, the question?
Is anyone aware if the Sound made, can be increased in volume?
(my hearing aint great)
hope you can assist please?
