MG iSMART app Token Expired

I still have to remind you it's a bargain basement car that's made in China. If you bought something else made in China you'd be very surprised if it worked and it it did you wouldn't expect it to last very long. This is how I view my car anyway. Can't wait for the day I hand it back and go back to KIA.

Why have they changed the App again? Blooming frustrating
 
Same thing happened to me. I have managed to get in by resetting password but used just letters and numbers. It works so long as no special characters used in password. Frustrating process. Got it working thanks to this thread.
 
Has anybody been kicked out of their iSMART app with the message ‘Token expired’ then can’t log in again saying the login details are incorrect ie username/email ! ??
I tried logging in with my email address and also phone number but it wouldn’t accept these??
I have now had to create a new login with my email address but have to wait 72 hours to bind to my car again !!
What’s going on?
I had the same issue. I deleted old account and rebinded car to new email etc and also in the car etc. Still does not work, timeout and car doesn't respond to anything. Any ideas? I am in the UK with MG HS PHEV new model. Was working before the app uodate then got the token expired etc.
 
I had the same token expired thing couple of weeks ago. Putting my phone number in instead of the email address solved it for me.
 
Have been trying to log in for the last two hours and the app rejects my (correct) phone number, password and the OTPs I've received via SMS and email. It's now 6am and I woke up early to check the charge level and turn it off if necessary, so as you might guess I'm pretty fed up. I've had my MG4 for over two years and enjoy driving it, but i smart and the car's firmware really sour the ownership experience. Looks like I'll have to re-install it on the phone and/or start a new account. It's disappointing that most motoring journalists don't report on software issues beyond those that become obvious from behind the wheel like LKA and TJA.
 
I just got the token message expired couldn't remember my password a verification email was sent changed my password it then said the account was in use put in my phone number it said this number was already registered it then stated force unbinding although it asked me to bind to my MG3 now it says I have to wait 72 hours as a new owner even though I have owned the car for 4 months it says the previous owner which is still me can object how do I object
 
Hi tried yesterday after the 72 hours rebinded the vehicle on the screen it asked me to create a new 4 number pass code which I did and the I smart came on straight away thanks for your assistance much appreciated
