Good evening ,

I hope you are well ,

We are sharing the information that has been brought to our attention by
our Brand Mg , they have stated that any orders that are currently
showing no build date they will not be able to hold the sale price upon
the vehicle or the finance agreement that was put in place when you have
placed the order .

Please see the attached document which is part of a memo sent by Mg for
this issue, before reading the below options to consider .

Currently there a few options that we have given by the manufacturer
which are as follows :

1: Re quoting upon the new the new 7.9% agreement if finance is
applicable to your deal on PCP or HP , in cash circumstances the new
pricing for quarter 4 2022 will have to be met

2: looking at a swap to the All new MG4 with leads times currently
estimated at 12-16 weeks dependent on spec, model or colour

3: a Refund on the deposit you have placed upon the vehicle usually
back into your account within the next 7-10 days

We do apologise to bring this news to yourself , as i hope you can
appreciate Us as Glyn Hopkin LTD Have no say in these things and we will
do anything we can help and we are only distributing what the
manufacturer has recommended to us to let our customer know .

Please let me know your thoughts regarding this and i will be more than
happy to help in any way ,

Kindest Regards

The thing is, even a comma in a different place, or capital letter inserted can change the meaning of a sentence. For example:
What is thing called love?
What is this thing called, Love?
I don't expect deathless prose, but I've got to agree with Gadget Geek.

I think someone has taken the this.

Strange maybe it's just RHD models. I ordered mine on the 1st November, scheduled delivery date was 1st December. Picked it up yesterday 24th November, 1 week earlier than quoted.

1st November 2022, 3 weeks from start to finish.
Let me take a guess

You bought the Standard Range.

Here in Denmark they are not able to sell those either, so they have a leadtime of 4 weeks.

I just checked and they completely removed all other models of the ZS EV.

Right now you can only order 1 phase Standard range in Comfort or luxury version.

Last time i checked the leadtime for a 3 phase charger MG ZS EV Long range it was the same 9-12 months as when i ordered our replacement car back in August.

I guess they are so far behind on Long Range, that it makes no sense to take any additional orders.

Maybe also to "force" people to choose the standard range or the MG4, which will be delivered 1H 2023 according to their website.

The Standard range ZS EV have been selling so poorly that they have had to resort to websites normally used for used cars, to try and shift those cars they imported.

And now i just saw that China again is doing massive lockdowns, so it would not surprise me if they stop production and delay our cars even more.

MG is "lucky" that other manufacturers are also behind on delivery, otherwise i think they would lose a lot of sales from people, chosing to buy from someone else, these wait times are silly.

Was that a cut and paste from the original email or did you retype it?

It's hard to believe that such an unprofessional email was sent to customers of a large dealership, regardless of the SPAG.

Hold in to your hat Simon, when I commented on the nature of the missive I was 'accused' of having a better education than other people!

Hey

It was a cut and paste. I wouldn’t edit it :) want people to see it as it was.
