MG - The UK's No1 Chinese Car Company (Auto Express)

Unless they start treating there customers with a little bit of respect and fairness then
they won’t be number one for much longer.

BYD who are number 2 on the Auto Express list aren't exactly overflowing with faultless cars and on Trust Pilot only score 2.5 for customer service.

I don't think any Chinese brands meet the level of service we in the UK expect but they are undercutting the price of the legacy brands. The question is are you prepared to pay £10k for good customer service?

That’s a fair point, but some of the stories on here are indefensible and the negative aspects must have an effect on the brand going forward.

Agree to a certain extent. But unless your on here, you wouldn't really know about them. I can't see it really effecting them, at all. 🙄🙁

I have seen a few on YouTube also. Especially the MG4 that drove itself in to the AA van. Then the response or lack of it from MG

It was an MG5 being driven by the AA man who was unfamiliar with the car and the AA paid for the repairs. Why would the AA pay if it was a faulty car? The dealer nor MG could find any fault with the car.

If you look you can find problems with any car or brand. For example Mercedes EQA 250's front suspension needs replacing at a cost of around £2k just after the 3 year warranty runs out. Ford and Jaguar trust Pilot score for customer service is 1.4, Mercedes is 1.8 the same as MGs and Renault.

Customer service across all manufacturers is poor. Just count yourself lucky if you have a good dealer.

There are lots of cars drive into other cars, crash into living rooms, run over roundabouts, drive off multistorey car parks ............. on and on. Almost all of these are driver error and not car related but the car gets blamed anyway. Who wants to be the idiot that drives off the edge of a multistorey car park?

There are also faulty cars that sometimes kill people. Who wants to be the manufacturer that happens to? That's why they take a long time to admit to it, unfortunately only after quite a number of owners have been affected.

Drive carefully everyone.🚗🚕🚙🛻🚐🚓🚑🚚🚛

I’m not against MG I really like my MGS5. The point I’m trying to make is it possibly more cost effective to for them to sort out their after sales and PR.

That's one hell of a pile up you've got there! all caused by a tiny full stop. No excuse for the four professional drivers at the rear of the queue. Or is it an advertisement by NCAP for the successful use of AEB? :p

Might have known, a Taxi would be involved. 😉🙂👍
