Morning everyone, I have a short to ground on coolant pump
Relay pin open??

I've changed the relay module and the 2 pumps i can see, does anyone know if this can also relate to the coolant heater?

Please help

If a relay contact goes open circuit, that can't cause a short circuit.

Are you sure it's an actual short? Pump motors have little resistance when not running. It's back EMF from the motor spinning that limits the current.

If there is a real short, it has to be the pump itself, the relay (but you've replaced both of those), or the wiring loom. You can check the loom by removing the relay and disconnecting the pump.

If you are talking about the fluid involved with the main battery heating system, then yes, there will be a pump involved. The service manual will tell you the location of these pumps. You may have to buy access to the MG documentation to download these.
