Winter MKII MG ZS EV Long Range Battery Heater Test at 1c outside temp (battery temp was also 1c with no earlier charging) activated between 0830am - 9am the HV coolant warmed to 30c drawing a constant 3.6kw over a 30 minute period which allowed the HV battery to warm to 15c from a cold start. If already driving and the HV battery is already partly warmed the HV heater tends to switch off when it reaches 20c optimum charging temp (coolant usually at around 36c). As I rarely use rapid chargers (1-2 times a year) I’m sharing this data for those of you who are new to MG EVs and who might be interested in when to engage this feature prior to arriving at a rapid charger.
