MG ZS EV Mileage trip meter

I do trips associated with my position as a Motosports Steward and I need to record my mileage.
Every time I have to stay in a B&B when I start off the next morning the trip meter has reset to 000000.
Which means I have to remember to make a written note of every time I stop in case I lose the reading. I do this work voluntarily and can only claim pence per mile. Anyone know how to cure this ? I have trolled through the online manual with no success.

Yes reset the 2nd trip metre that adds up all trips till next reset

When on trip metre display push down arrow on steering wheel this will now display second trip metre then push and hold ok? button it will now read 0000

I keep an A7 size diary with pen in my car and log the start & finish mileage from the odometer for my job site visits. Makes it easy to make my monthly mileage claims. I also show the starting and ending range to see how naughty or good I've been with the go pedal. ?
