MG ZS EV not charging

Hi,

12V battery needed replacing and has been replaced, however, hv battery says shut off and won’t charge. What can I do please?

Apart from disconnecting negative on 12V battery for a few minutes and checking it's then connected properly, it looks like something for a MG garage to look at ...

Don't assume that the new battery is charged. Try a 12 V battery charger on it overnight, or at least an hour.

HV shutoff just means that the contactors are off, as far as I can tell. As they would be when not charging or in ready mode. You need to do the usual: Is there a charging timer set? Is the battery SoC over the charge limit? If there is an app involved, is it interfering with the charge? Is the "charger" (EVSE) known to be working, breaker not tripped. Have you tried locking the car before and after starting the charge, etc etc.
