Really, I thought ZS Hybrid had the same engine as the MG3 Hybrid.
He is talking about HS petrol engine wich has turbo and 143 cv (and that's the reason for lower rpm and better behaveour) zs and mg3 has the same non-turbo 102 cv petrol engine and 3 gears (its bad behaveour is more noticeable in the ZS because of the weight compared to the mg3, if i'm not wrong)

So he was, sorry. 🤭

Yes I did see that information online ,let's hope it fixes the problem, I was reading an update will be available in the new year all new vehicles built now will have the update? But let's be honest hear these vehicles should never have been put on the road with these issues makes you wonder how long research and development went into this engine gearbox? Because obviously they didn't test them on hills .?
Yes I totally agree with you it makes you wonder what actual testing was done if any ? Should never have been released to the public, unless china doesn't have any hills anymore for testing 😁 hopefully update arrives in the new year 👍

I have just received the new update for the over revving noise etc through the post , and I can tell you the noise has disappeared totally? It just shows you MG engineers are on the ball . My new pair of BOSE Headphones are fantastic 🤩😊🤪
Lucky you! 😊
I’m still waiting for the update for the high-rev issue… in the meantime I “treated myself” by replacing all the speakers in the car and adding a sub under the front passenger seat.
I have to say, I’m really happy with the result, the original speakers were absolutely terrible! 😅

Did you fit the speakers and sub yourself? And what make did you go for ? I've still not had any updates regarding the software update. Next year now I would imagine?

I hope I’m not going off topic, and I apologize to the administrators if that’s the case, but I'd like to answer.
I didn’t do the speaker replacement by myself, a car audio specialist did it. They also soundproofed the front doors and disabled the rear speakers in order to install the subwoofer under the front passenger seat. The sound is fantastic now. It cost around €1000.”

BTW - to anyone having issues with the over-revving (4k+) and downhill behaviour hang in there. A fellow owner has just won a case in the U.K. with the Ombudsman for a full refund, return and compensation. I can’t share the details yet but as soon as I can I will. I actually love the car and how it drives around town, but for those who think this is an imaginary phenomenon just think yourselves lucky you aren’t driving one configured as a potential death trap!
