MG ZSEV 2022 - Radio has died

MGZSEV LR TROPHY 22 plate

Hi all. Has anyone ever encountered this/found a remedy/got any suggestions.

My radio has randomly stopped working entirely.

1 applies to DAB and FM
2 absolutely no sound whatsoever when selected
3 not muted - media volume slider can be observed going up and down to no effect
4 system itself appears fine, android auto is playing music etc fine through speakers
5 have reset the head unit twice, to no avail
6 no issues with aerial - this was all working fine a few days ago...

Trying to avoid dealer visit if at all possible!

I get this with DAB but a reset cures it. Would love to know what causes it though.

This happened to mine. 12 volt disconnect fixed it for me.

For the record (if anyone else has this problem) - 10min 12v disconnect did indeed solve this problem for me. Tried everything else with no joy. (And yes it did take me 6 weeks ?) ?

You can’t beat a good old 12 volt battery disconnect that provides a master reset on the entire 12 volt system !.

In my case disconnect negative cable solve the problem immediately, but the issue returns in few hours. I tried several times.
