Had a potential incident today thankfully averted by the automatic door lock feature.
Not an attempted car-jacking, mind you.
Parked up at the local shops and a young woman skipped up to the car and tugged on the back handle.
Luckily for her it did not open because our dog does not like unknown humans at the best of times, let alone when they invade his "safe space" of the back bench.
We've got the tinted rear windows so she got a big shock when he gave her the full nine barks through the glass.
I assumed she was getting a lift from a fellow MG4 owner but it turns out she thought I was her taxi.
It wasn't us who was at risk, but rather the woman was at risk from my dog. If the door had opened there wouldn't have been anything I could have done (he is strapped in but has some freedom of movement so it would be a case of which of them reacted the quickest).
Turns out the auto-lock feature is good for hapless pedestrians and not just for those in the vehicle.
So anyway, what do we think, would be MG4 make a good taxi?
Taxis seem to be mostly Mercedes E-Class or Toyota Corollas and Prius hybrids around our way perhaps because of their reputations for reliability.
