MG4 headlight adjustment

The headlghts are great other than there's a black hole between the dip and high beam, is there no way of bringing down the high beam withoutout lowing both? I always have the setting on 2 to avoid constant flashing from oncommers, but then on high I'm still just spotting Owls! - most annoying.

I set mine to auto high beam, works well, dips automatically when there are oncoming cars.

Yes but it's not the dipping that is the issue, you may not have the same problem. Unlike many cars of yesteryear the dip stays on when using full beam and on my car the high beam is aiming miles down the road way too high. Reflection from road signs is literally blinding, plus as I said there's a black hole where there's little definition between low and high beam. I never use auto because I find it's too slow reacting to approaching cars, particularly in turns, these modern LED lights quite honestly are WAY too bright, I live on a road with a lot of switch backs and constantly being flashed by on coming vehicles and you can't blame them. Both the AA an RAC agree they are a real problem, nowadays I just try to avoid night driving if at all possible.

Check the manual (or search for other headlight threads) ... the Trophy spec cars have separate adjustments for both dipped and main beams.

I had the same issue. Took me ages (because I’m lazy) to go fiddle with the adjusters and since then it’s brilliant. Well worth the time (5-10 mins max) to dial in.

It didn’t help that I drove to Belgium and to save sticking the lens things over as I’d only really be driving in the day, I just cranked them way down. But being lazy I hadn’t spent the time sorting them since but now I did again it’s spot on.

The second part is entirely my own issue but I was disappointed it didn’t get sorted in the PDI but whatever, it’s fine once adjusted correctly.
