Mg4 ismart bind issues

My daughter was unable to login to ismart to check out her mg4 SE LR charge level.

As a last resort, we decided to uninstall ismart, unbind, and then reinstall and bind again.

Now getting "vehicle owner transfer started" and am unable to bind and proceed.

Has anyone a resolution to this?
 
Please search for 'How to rebind’. The is a thread in the ZS forum that indicates you have to wait 48 to 72'hours before you can rebind.

But, for future reference do not unbind unless you have to. Sometimes the Servers are down and you won't get a response. You must wait

Did you try the status option first, followed by unlock/lock, clearing cache, logging out?

We logged out but couldn't log back in, so then uninstalled and reinstalled the app, and then got into the unbind route.

We'll try and rebind now the 72 hours is up.

Did you accept the T&C's whose tick box is displayed at the bottom of the login page? You need to scroll to see it.

In future I recommend doing the other activities first before unbinding. The MG servers think the car is being transferred to a new owner hence the delay.

EDIT: Did you create a new account?

Yes, I accepted the T&Cs.

We only got into the mess because we had changed email addresses and the app didn't seem to support an easy update path.

It would be also sensible for the unbind to support an immediate acceptance, rather than just a 72 hour window to reject.

Anyway, will try and rebind later today.

I don't think I have read about changing iSmart login credentials before. Could you please post how you changed did that for anyone who might need to do it in the future.

For example, did you register a phone number before you changed the email address.

Was the original email address the login name?

Every so often the MG servers throw a wobbly. I suspect this has happened over the last few days as my app has been telling me I have not accepted the Ts & Cs in the car (which I have). then suddenly yesterday 5 alerts in the app telling me in sequence I have not/ have accepted terms and now everything is back to how it should be.

Not sure if this is related to monthly data restrictions or server updates or any of the other myriad things in the communication chain between app and car.

Give it a couple of days and try again.
