Does anyone know what tyres the MG4 is being shipped to the UK with? I noticed on the digital launch video that the car there was shod with Continental tyres, but didn't get to see the size and rating.

My car 2025 reg (but built in Dec 2023) has Bridgestone Turanzas on 235/45/R18 98W with tyre code T05QAZ

It will also depend if the car is an SE or a Trophy. SE has 17" rims, Trophy 18".

215/50 R17 for the SE.

I've just spotted this thread at the bottom of the page and my ER Trophy came with Bridgestone Touranza T005's R18 and I've just discovered they had a reduced tread from new to reduce road noise. That's why they have only done 10600 miles😒

To be fair, (some?) other brands do the same with their EV tyres it seems, not just Bridgestone. But on a personal note I’ve never liked Turanza tyres, they have poor wet weather performance and poor wear for my driving style.

Ah that explains why my tyres only have 4mm left after just over 7,000 miles (nearly all motorway)

Hi Folks, has anybody found a good alternative to Bridgestone Touranza T005's R18 my Trophy ER was fitted with. I will need to change the rears maybe next month so wondering if anybody had any suggestions. The rears have done just shy of 14K miles.

HI fellow ER owner, there's not many of us on here🙂. I'm going to put Michelin Cross Climates on the rears and will order from Black Circles, I've not done it yet I want to see how many miles I can get from them, approaching 11000 now and it's not driven hard but getting near the knuckle. I see you are from Cornwall, do you use one pedal driving a lot🤔🤔 I find it really useful on the rural roads round here.

Thanks Joules, the Michelin Cross Climates seem favourite so far. The Touranza's are very noisy, which is made worse by the quality of a lot of the roads in Cornwall. Not really keen on OPD, but saying that, have not given it along try. Though living in Cornwall, I am originally from Glasgow, via the Thames Valley (ex HP).

Thanks to yourself and Ian for replying to my post

Mixing all season and summer tyres is not a good idea, in snow you will end up with loads of grip at the rear but none at the front.

Fair point well made,👍 let's hope we have a winter like last year and no snow hereabouts to speak of🙄. The cost of replacing all 4 at the same time will be a stretch right now for this pensioner😳🙂
