Nice idea but it might also disable the ability to charge the car and you would have to reset the steering, window limits and put up with a whole host of warning messages until the car's been driven for a few miles.
Agreed....particularly due to positioning and how little resistance the switches possess. The majority seem to put this down to accidentally catching the window switches so that would appear to be the answer .
I had this happen, rather unnervingly, a couple of times after I'd bought mine in March. Found this thread. Slightly modified the way i used the door armrest when getting in and out . Hasn't happened since. And I was convinced I wasn't accidentally catching the switchesI’ve had my MG4 for a week.
Windows have been found open twice. Once the passenger rear and once the passenger front.
The buttons for these windows are closest to the edge of the door arm rest so I’m thinking it’s inadvertent operation of the window switches because they are right where you push the door open.
The fact that some windows are fully open and some are partially open suggests this is the case.
But, I’ll mention it to the dealership when it goes in for the 1500km check.
The buttons are very sensitive. Dead easy to catch when you leave the car. My rear passenger opened once when I first got the car . I now am wary of this happening and it hasn't happened since. Definitely was me .I’ve had my MG4 for a week.
