MG4 Workshop Manual.
I'm looking for a copy of this manual. Can anyone advise me concerning it's availability?
Thank you, everyone posting replies!

I think you will have a very long wait until one become available.

If you want a hard copy of the owners manual they are available from Sloucher at cost price.

There was a company doing a workshop manual for the MG4 on Facebook, £81 IIRC.
I was almost tempted, but I vowed to never buy anything off Facebook again after getting fleeced once before.

I used to buy Haynes manuals in the past but when cars got more complicated many of the areas in the manual said to take it to the dealer for this job or take it to a specialist for that job etc. so I stopped buying them.

Haynes used to be useful but you're right, the increasing complexity of modern cars kinda put the kibosh on it. Was becoming somewhat irrelevant due to the internet TBH.
I'm not sure how helpful it would be anyway, stuff like servicing the brakes and changing the gear oil is dead simple and entirely conventional.
Any trouble with the core systems would almost certainly need dealer diagnostics, not that the average dealership has much of a clue mind you

I also used to use Haynes as a matter of course but I somehow always had the model or variant which just was not covered by the book, also taking apart a brand new car and photographing it was always a bit different to the 8 year old oil and grease dirt combo which normally caked the offending parts you needed to look at. I was underneath the MG4 last week and thought how refreshing to see brand new bolts and unchewed up screws , and I,d better get all the necessary work done before it turns pear shaped.

Aye, it's good to see all those virgin fixings before the road salt does its dirty business 🥶
Got mine in December and spent an hour spraying waxoyl over all the exposed fasteners I could get to, seems to have helped as there's no surface rust on the treated ones.
Nice to have clean threads and bolt heads still at their original size a few years down the line.

It would be great if they did a total teardown of a modern EV.

What bit are you interested in? I may be able to help.
Not my post, but as you asked.... what brand/type is the aircon compressor (also used for battery cooling)?
From what I see and read it's a Mahle E-Compressor?
That needs a specific oil fill level per manufacturer/car - anything?

No idea of the brand. And this doesn't mean a lot to me but ...

The refrigerant is specified as R-1234yf or R-134a (depending on region).
Refill Amount (new): 150+/-10 g
Lubrication oil - POE
Lubricating oil type: HS1
Total amount of lubricating oil: 150+/10 g

Is there any section on updating the infotainment, that you could post please? I'm interested in seeing the process. From other posts, it seems to just be putting a file on a USB key, and can be done in a matter of minutes, but there has also been talk of having to query SAIC servers for car-specific versions.
Thanks.

There is info about using the update software, and I have a copy, but I have never looked at it as you need an account on the MG servers to use it - which I obviously do not have.

I can attest that my infotainment module was updated by putting the software on a USB stick and using screen menu option to load it. It only took a few minutes, and I sat in the car and watched whilst he did it.

That was after using the updater software to check all the modules, they did try to update the infotainment using the updater software, and it said it had uploaded it, but when rebooted it was still on the original version! After that he restorted to copying the file to the USB stick.

All of it! - but right now - EPS system. How is the system designed? Seems it's not a steering column unit as it seems to be located in the front compartment. (I don't have a car yet so can't just go and look)
It's a rack mounted motor...
