MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

To be honest, to me @Tuareg's post was saying that the majority of XPower owners don't actually suffer from the vibes, not that the owners who do suffer the vibes are liars.

And I also have no vibes and no regrets.

Think perhaps it's the way he words it. 🤔
I've said several times that my, X Power has been great. But would never dismiss others, who say theirs haven't. 🤷‍♂️

Yes there does tend to be a negative bias, because people seek out forums for help with problems.

However, problems should never be dismissed as if you suffer from them, you will want all the help you can get.

The data we have from the (admittedly imperfect) surveys says MG do not do a good job for reliability or service experience. So, knowing about possible problems is important for prospective buyers.

Pretty much all cars have many more satisifed owners than dissatisfied, the surveys just compare the degree.

Prices are weird, 1 year old ones are booking 18.5k . 74 plate 3k miles.

I think there is a poll about it on here somewhere and more had it than not. It’s started making into reviews (skip to about 4:20 when they get to the x power).

Yes, but you have to bear in mind people with the vibes have sort out forums for this problem and are much more likely to respond if surveyed. So we can't say what such polls really mean, they are self-selecting to some degree.

There's no doubt that a significant number of people have had this problem, but we can't put a percentage on it.

That’s true.

He is a total fan boy and has previous for slagging off numerous new members accusing them of being trolls and continues to have a pop at anyone that is critical of MG, despite numerous complaints he carries on unchecked

What is abundantly clear on this forum is that the bar for crossing the line, in terms of behaviour has always been different.to the pro MG camp than anyone that is being negative

The member who constantly calls people trolls and has a pop at anyone who is critical of MG.

More than one member has called him out on his comments and it goes unchecked.
Ahh right, if somebody has a problem or complaint about another member, they should report it, otherwise we may not be aware of it.

Let's be honest nobody is missing the posts, it's been going on long enough and he has been called out on it by several members so there is no point.

I've recently received my xpower back after having the '6. After-sales suspension solution:' completed. It has not fixed it. I think the magnitude has reduced ever so slightly but is now more detectable at lower speeds.

I have always been able to detect the vibrations from around 60kmh but only because I have felt them at higher speeds and knew what to look for. Now they are more noticeable and well detectable from 80kmh and still present at 110kmh etc.

Still felt through the steering wheel and the body of the car. Can still be heard in some stiuations.

I had the steering wheel dampener installed earlier in the year. 2023 build. Located in Australia.

Car was in the workshop for over a week getting the work done.

Sorry to hear this - at least MG Australia are actively trying to fix the problem unlike in the UK where we just have to accept it, although according to certain owners, there is no problem to fix as it only affects a couple of cars!

Spot on everyone else must be imagining it

On this forum, there are definitely more Aussie members who have had something done about this than UK members (whether it's worked or not).

‘Actively’ isn’t how I’d describe their approach but I get what you mean.

I suspect their next step will be the same as the UK.
Sadly not - MG UK have claimed the issue is just a characteristic and they are not prepared to sanction the 'phase 2' fix that you had applied. Their customer services representative went further to say I should expect it with such a powerful car.

Strongly suspect this is due to the substantial labour costs in dropping the rear sub-frame to fit the new bushes but I guess some will call me cynical.
