MG4 X Power Vibe/Hum 65 to 75mph

Don't think MG is a cheap arse car company. Cheaper than other cars, yes.
But that's the attraction of them. Decent cars, at a good price. Agree, MG do treat there customers, with contempt, and that's obviously wrong. But at least they are up front, that they don't give a Shit.
Unlike German car companies who just cheat and blatantly lie to customers about emissions. Until they where caught out.

It’s not really in their interest to be knocking out rubbish though. In the U.K. they have a decent market share and they could continue to grow that, but not if they get a terrible reputation. The UK has the second largest new car market in Europe and isn’t applying huge tariffs to Chinese cars.

They obviously care to some degree as they seem more willing to address criticism than many other brands. As an example they put a rear wiper on before the car had been out a year and added one pedal driving. The facelift is focused on interior quality rather than styling, and that’s really where it falls short.

The flagship MG4 having this massive flaw must actually matter to them but there is no excuse for them being such tosspots about it. As I’ve said before, my car was built after all the fixes were applied at the factory, including the expensive stage 2 fix but had it REALLY BAD; steering wheel and passenger seat visibility shaking bad. Perhaps mine was an end-of-line old parts bin bargain!

I think mine probably had a combination of all the causes; wheels out of balance, deformed tyres, god knows what else they did during the near month long period they said the did nothing to it but vastly improved etc. They should have pulled the thing from the market until they solved it properly.

I do know it’s definitely not just tyres. Mild as it is on mine now it’s clearly more pronounced under hard acceleration when the front motor is engaged.

On a positive note, my local dealer fitted new front discs and pads under warranty this week to stop my horrendous squalling brakes!
I agree and it great the dealer is honouring some warranty..

To put it bluntly yes in never in there best interest to screw customers over but it’s based on 2 important factors price and volume ..

Sell for argument sake 500000 cars 20% of them get issue that ultimately pisses off the customer to maybe never buy MG again 10% will go elsewhere the other 10 % will probably sit on the fence arguing with themselves that for the price the “ car isn’t that bad “ blah blah ..

Next year MG sell another 500000 cars based purely on being cheap then the same BS starts.again..

So at worse case lose 20% ever year means nothing ..

For the most part I don’t hate my X power and it has been pretty reliable ( as it should for a new car) but i won’t be returning to MG when I buy my next EV MG customer service is disgraceful so just NO.

But take your yeah it’s not to bad I can live with it customer I guarantee their MG’s bread and butter rubbing their hand together knowing full well if they offer a semi compelling product .

they will be back cash in hand!!
