Well, the new MG5 was delivered today with a total of 5 miles on the clock. Managed to take it out earlier this afternoon, on official company business and have to say I'm suitably impressed so far.
Steering is very light with little feedback through the wheel, but I can get used to that. Nice having a reach and pitch adjustment on the wheel, which I've not had since my last German car.
Once lock-down eases it will be good to get some miles on the clock.

Congratulations. Post some pics!

The steering is much better in 'sport' mode.

Not got around to sport mode yet. Too many "boys in blue" about locally and its hard enough to keep at 30 in eco mode. Need to get it onto an open road and I will then try out the three options on both the KERS and driving modes. I'm sure the steering will respond differently in sports mode. To be honest I'm just glad that its arrived after too many false starts.

Funnily enough, I've found it very easy to drive slower too, the 'one pedal' right foot control (it's my my first EV) feels very dynamic and, so far at least, easy to keep within speed limits...

I agree.

With my old diesel Passat, it was never happy sitting a certain lower speeds. If I went up a gear it was fighting to go faster and if I went down a gear the revs were too high. It was much happier at motorway speeds.

With my MG5 I can sit at any speed and it just cruises.

I concur

why would you possibly choose blue...oh wait..
Wait?
Test drove a blue. My last cars have been white, grey, black, silver & red so no blue since the ST200. There was no silver 5's to see so blue it was. Still, no taken delivery so I could change it.
Silver always smacks of year 2000 and millennium when Silver was THE colour for those older enough to be buying car back then. 🙄

Crickey, I was buying cars in the 70's. No silver until the mk2 escort.
