Mate of mine went to order a LR today and was told they have stopped making them. They didn't mention that there was an updated version coming.

Probably not entirely inaccurate.
They will have almost certainly finished the primary construction of RHD 5s. They've got a stockpile awaiting components before shipping. They'll be running that down before they announce the RHD variant of the facelift model.

Depending on how what specs are in the stockpile there's a possibility they're not taking orders for certain model/colour combos. But l suspect they have enough stock to keep fulfilling orders for at least a year so they can announce face-lift next march.
