MG5 trophy 61kWh 22 Reg 10,800 miles

Hi All, now 3 years into ownership, car has been excellent- shame the reasons for buying have been negated by exessive away from home charging costs and road tax( but bought in late March 25 so saved 11? Months tax).
The car has just had it's 1st mot.
BOTH front suspension lower arm bushes are delaminating- cost by MG £680 the pair. I have had 40 cars NEVER had one of these bushes fail.
Is this a flaw with rhe car/ part/ or normal- maybe due to low speed torque.
Am asking for a £ of bushes to do myself from MG as upon searching online when looking further into availability the £8 ish advised price becomes - Not Available.
I have searched much and as yet can't find anywhere where this is being noted as an issue with the car.
PS I ALWAYS use Eco and 3 setting for power and recharge respectively.

Interesting when I have eventually found someone that " knows" stuff at the dealer.
He is saying. the bushes are ok for now, will not fail completely, if degrade more ARE coverd by warranty.
SO just about to have a look myself, at the very least I will VERY lightly grease them, IF indeed they are as the dealer said.
I am a bit paranoid, BUT annoyingly 3 months ago and last week get calls from desler asking to see what they can do for a new car.
BOTH reply's were/ are, in 3 years in depreciation we have lost £14/15k- to my wufe and I the whole point, besides environmental ( tbd) it was about retirement and long term cost savings.
Note we 95% charge from home
For 2 years this made sense, I manged to tax pre April 25 so we get almost another years road tax free.
But insrance has notably gone up compared to ICE engines and now the nonsense £/ kw of fotecourt electric charging.
I believe now 3rd year on, with car value depreciation, a 2 litre Seat Leon of Skoda Octavia estate would have been a better financial investment ( £8000 otr less in late May 22).
We like the MG5, but now see we bought with some false hoods.
Being retired and planned as our likely last car, we will carry on and enjoy it and as said mostly we tie ourselves to the cars 200 mile "winter" and 260 mile " summer" range.
Appreciate your help.
PS to be honest when I get underneath in a mo, I will be armed after with your info and prior to future " MOT's" if necessary replace myself, then get tracking checked/ re- aligned.

You may be the victim of a dealer money generating grift here... I've come across this before with Nissan dealers, they state the rubber bushings in the wishbones are in need of changing to generate overpriced work for themselves when very minor cracking is visible when the bushes are flexed. It is important to understand that the minor cracking you see is actually normal in most cases for this type of bush after a few thousand miles and is not a sign of imminent failure!

Have you personally seen these bushes? If you can get a picture of the supposed wear I'll give you my opinion on them.

If there is no actual tearing of the rubber at any point and you are not noticing any looseness or sounds coming from the front suspension, they are almost certainly in perfectly serviceable condition.

Oh, you mentioned applying grease earlier, don't put any sort of oil based grease over the rubber in the bushes, as that can actually cause deterioration of the rubber, best just to leave them bare.

THEN eventually the 4th chap- put me at ease- no issues- under warranty, crazing normal.
So WT@.
When I booked the servuce 3 monrhs ago kept being chased by salrs, chased by sales 2 weeks ago.
NOT prepared to loose £15,000 on a car ( nearest likely is the MGS? on MG4 platform £32,000.
So £15,000 + £2000= £17,000 in 3 years.
So that makes Electric sensible.
One final point.
I have looked at the bushes.
1) Indeen there us VERY minor surface cracking.
2) 2 bushes are not visible exept thru small hole/ gap.
3) I would be MORE concerned on the RUST on the WHOLE underside and suspension arms etc.
It has been decades since I have had a car that has not had its underbody rust protected as it came out if factory.
Looks like I need to get this addressed.

Is the rust limited to the suspension components, subframes and such, or is it on the sheet metalwork on the underbody also?

Seems to be surface everywhere- DID not expect that, though we live high up ish o. South coast hants- 3 months lots of sakt/ dont do too many winter miles.
Treatable
For info I am on cosmetuc restiration if a Honda NT700V shaft tourer into 1100hrs of complete metalwork restorarion- no underciat/ poorly plared bolts( some, critucal ones are brighter mildsteel).
As MG5 nothing critical, just NOT good factory paint / finish/ durability.
Note bike 2008 only 16,800 miles- readon for doing this- could not see it beung scrapped off- a waste.
