They are for opening window a small slit for ventilation when travelling to avoid rain coming in. They actually makes more wind noise

Why not just use A/C ?

I’ve got the Ali express ones on my 5
and I prefer to drive it with the windows down and they stop the annoying drip you get when you open the window if it’s wet
