Hi
I’m new to all this so please forgive my ignorance.
I have a shiny new out of the box MGS5
And a new Ohme Pro charger
I was hoping I could just plug the charger in when I got back from a night shift and stagger to my bed this morning.
But No.
I have the Ohme app dynamic charging off, but it still won’t charge for me.
Are there any things I should know before this will work for me?

Hi, are you on Go or intelligent Go?
Does it MAX charge from the Ohme app?
If IOG then sett the end time to 11am and set the percentage to ADD from your current SOC

Hi
No not Go or Intelligent Go just EDF
I plug the car in it’s on Max Charge the car starts to charge then just stops the charger stays red and still says it’s charging but at 0 amps😞

Does it work OK on a DC Rapid charger or a different 7kW fast EVSE

I had a similar problem with my Sync EV new charger and had to stand in the freezing cold trying to get the charger to connect to my wifi. Finally, I gave up and put the charger on an offline mode which means it will start charging whenever I plug in the cable. I cannot use the Sync EV app to do the charging scheduling but have to do it using the MG app. Worth trying to see if you can put in on always on mode.

I've a similar set up with Octopus which seems OK. I just have to approve the connection then I manually set how much charge I want to add (car is set to 80%) on the Ohme app the let it schedule it for me. As long as my maths is OK it seems to go to 80% Then stop.

Oh right. You didn't quote the post you were responding to, hence my post.

Sorry for the confusion @MaxEv (if there was any!)
I thought the fact that my post was immediately below the post bemoaning WiFi issues would have been a clue. 🤦‍♂️ ;)
