Navigation display on new Trophy

I have just purchased a brand new MG 4 Trophy. A couple of weird things are happening:
1/ it doesn’t seem to pick up different road speeds and is stuck on 30mph regardless of the actual speed limit. I have taken of the warning but I get a beep with a picture of a pedal and for saying slow down

2/ when navigation is on and showing on small display behind steering wheel the graphic shows the car to go the wrong way round a roundabout. The main map is correct but not the heads up display.

Has anyone any ideas before I take it back to the dealer.

Welcome to the forum @girl on the heill , it looks as if your navigation thinks you're in a country where they drive on the right hand side of the road, but I have no idea why it should do it, or how to remedy it.

I don't use the driver's display for navigation but my reading of your display is that the guidance is for you to go straight ahead but warns you that the lefthand l ane is for straight ahead and the right-hand lane is for turning right on the roundabout.

I think the problem is that the highlighted route around the roundabout is incorrect for a UK (LHD) route.

That really is a problem and I'll look at my display to check mine is ok. Definitely a dealer's problem to solve.

Just checked my driver's display and it showed the correct direction around a roundabout. It wasn't at a lane indicating location so I'll have to look for one of those. But my SatNav is probably an earlier version of the one the OP has given my car has not had any non-campaign updates.

Just a couple of questions, you said the speed recognition always shows 30mph but in your pictures it is showing 40mph? The speed recognition initially uses map data until the camera recognises any speed sign. So if your map data is corrupted (or set to the wrong country) this may be why your speed recognition is not working.

Does the centre map display also indicate the wrong way around rounabouts or is it just the display behind the steering wheel?

Also check everything is set to miles and not km as per point 9 below

Has the OP set intelligent or manual speed control?I'm not an expert on the top left icons.

My brand new XPOWER exhibits the same problems as the OPs with both speed limit recognition not working and the driver display nav showing the wrong way around roundabouts.

What I have found is that the speed limit recognition problem, at least in my car, seems to be related to whether the initial vehicle manoeuvre is forwards or backwards.

If I drive off my driveway then it works perfectly but if I reverse off it doesn’t work at all for the duration of the journey.

Pretty sure there's a software fault in recently-purchased Trophys. Mine will also refuse to do speed recognition on the very first trip of the day... after that first trip, it's fine. I've seen suggestions that if your first maneuver of the day is in reverse gear, this causes the glitch (which would make sense for me, as I park nose-first on a drive). e.g. see this thread -- MY24 annoying signal recognition bug

I'm sure it'll be fixed in a software update eventually. Meanwhile, I now turn all the speed recognition gubbins off at start-up

(Though I'll be very interested to hear how you get on with the dealer!)

Having studied this for a few journeys you are correct, mine is the same! Move forward it all works, reverse off drive - stuffed!
