Hi everyone.

I've had my 2021 MG5 SR for nearly a week. Got it from Cinch and part-ex'd my 10 year old Leon.

I'd watched a load of Youtube videos and paid for a carvertical report, then pulled the trigger!

Loving it so far and it's far exceeded my expectations. One previous owner, 44k miles and battery SOH is at 97% .. which I think is good for an exactly 4-year old? And I really like how solid it feels - no squeaks or rattles and you can tell it's a hefty 2-tonne lump, but nippy at the same time!

I'd heard and watched that the display is slow to respond, but tbh it's not as bad as I was expecting, and I'm using Carplay anyway so not really a problem.

Next step is the pod-point home charger install next week. In the meantime I've charged it at public chargers twice. Looking forward to 9p/kWh overnight home charging instead of the 80p I paid yesterday!

Anyway, I'll keep reading these forums. I smiled when I spotted a "sticking drivers door handle" post (mine does occasionally), and also a post about replacing the transmission wheel disc .. mine has a sharp edge where the inset ring has separated, so I've ordered a new one for £15.

It's a 1595kg lump, 2 tonne is the maximum gross weight if filled up with people and luggage. (y)

Re the sticking handle thread that's mine and seems as the weather's warmed up it's been ok the last few days

Welcome to the forum,
If you check out the EVSE (charge points) that work with Intelligent Octopus Go then you could get 6 hours at 7p/kWh
