Yes, it is just another quirk. I too use Carplay (for Waze`) and Siri for calls a lot so I am content to stick with it. Especially as I discovered the correct button to press to engage Siri and as you say Right side wheel button but long press.

Have you found a button option that ends phone calls?
I think ( but not sure) press the right scroll wheel again disconnects the call ?

I’ve had a good look Mike and I can’t find any way to end a call when using CarPlay except for touching the screen in CarPlay to end. I’ve tried all the combinations using the right scroll wheel and all I could do was put the call on hold. Maybe someone else can enlighten us. !

It does seem that a short press of the right hand scroll wheel ends the call…..

I thought I’d tried that and ended up putting the call on hold - I’ll have another go, cheers.
It seems very flaky. I can answer a call with a shot press of the right hand wheel every time. However, ending it that way seems to only work some times!

Love the car also, and coming out of a BMW i5 you do notice some items that you would expect to get, like auto-dimming wing mirrors and rear veiw, auto-high beam and dare i say 'puddle lights'. I am sure that with time i will learn to do without, but my hope is that an OTA will come along for adaptive high beam at some time in the near future.

I made a new thread for this question but this seems like the best place to ask.

I was watching various IM6 vids on you when I can across one called "IM5 IM6 is it really that bad?" By @skahei.

In the video you can see he has some cables coming through the small circle in the accessory pocket.

I commented on his video a couple weeks ago asking how he did it and if it's plugged into the usb port. But alas no replies.

Can any see if this is a thing we can do, or is it probably an aftermarket job.

Looks to me like that a hole was drilled??
Will check how it looks in mine and if there's a cover that can be removed. Doubt it though.

There appears to be a small circle, there's also a small indent that makes me think it can be removed.

I think it can be done, as there's an additional wireless module that can fit in the space, surely it would need to be wired up.

There is a hole underneath and a push out piece on top so it would be easy to thread a cable though. Not sure why you would need to do it though.

Quick question.

Does the car really have the shag carpet as seen in the various review vids? Or is it just in the press models that get sent out.

I couldn't tell in my test drive as the floor still had the protective plastic cover on and I forgot to ask. I'm hoping it's not.

No.

I noticed that, too. In one video, the reviewer praised the quality of the carpets, stating that they were like those in a Bentley or Rolls. It's a pity they seem to have been removed for later cars.
