News on delivery of first Batch of IM5

Being at the dock doesn't mean it is being delivered soon. New cars often encounter paperwork issues at the docks and also inspection problems that can add weeks to the delivery time.

O dear apparently my car is in the country I have the vin and reg number .But it's not arrived at the dealer .It was supposed to be last week but no further information and the salesman doesn't seem to know when it will arrive.

It may take its time to get from the docks to your dealer. Delays there are normal. Your dealer won't be told when the car will arrive until just before it comes to them, that is also normal.

At this stage, I would imagine all cars coming into the port will be having software updates done to the infotainment and any other electronic systems before being transported to the dealer - pretty normal, especially for a car that's new to the market (there will always be UK-specific things that need sorting).

You would like to think so but we are talking about MG UK here, it's like playing the lottery! You buy your ticket you take your chance

So as it looks with the rest of the Anji ships, it is probably a long time until next one arrives in Europe, so if anyone is quoted that the car will come in just a couple of weeks, it is likely that Soundness delivered it in Britain a few days ago. Can't confirm it tho.

No different to when I got my XPOWER. It just arrived randomly one day.

Bit of a different experience to buying a new BMW or MINI - when the dealer is calling you every week or so with an update.

I was chasing my XPOWER almost daily, now I can't really be arsed.

Just spoke to my dealer and they said my car, that came to the country on the 9th of Nov, is in Glasgow now and will be ready for pick up in a couple of days. I still don't have a reg or a vin number for it.
