No Sound

I have a MG4 trophy and occasionally when I turn car on I have no sound from radio , sat nav and even the indicators have no noise . If I turn car off , lock it , leave it for 5 to 10 mins it comes back .Any ideas as getting frustrated with it

How old?
I'd book it in, explain the fault and ask for a full update of ALL software modules and specifically including the infotainment. Whilst you might be able to turn volumes down it shouldn't be possible to mute the indicators!

There's always software to update on an MG4!

I find I have to do that often when first getting into the car to get volume on the radio. But it’s no big deal and takes one second to do.

Hi , it's a 23 plate and only had it since August . Going to book in as something not right , did it again today .

I find I have to do that often when first getting into the car to get volume on the radio. But it’s no big deal and takes one second to do.

If I have no sound the system doesn't kick in at all and I can't get any sound unless I stop lock car and leave it for 5 to 10 mins.

It's the lack of indicator noise that suggests it's not just a volume thing. But... have you found pressing, not toggling, the right joystick will mute the infotainment (but not the indicators) - just wonder if that's being pressed as you get out?? But then why would it sort itself out after 10 mins? Sorry answering my own questions!

Hi! Welcome to the forum. Could you put the exact model of your car in your profile, so we know what we're dealing with? At the moment you're showing as driving "not an MG".

I have the same issue.

And fixed it by restarting the infotainment system— hold the home key down until it reboots.
