Ooh - never heard of a deal like that before

It was a salary sacrifice scheme run by Octopus. Free charger, well I already had one. So they paid me 600quid instead. Happy bunny!

I once saw a detailed breakdown of that, and it's all true. The electricity used to refine a gallon of petrol would drive an EV for the same distance a gallon of petrol will drive a petrol car. Not to mention the rest of it, the extraction, the transport, even the diesel the petrol tankers burn. There's a reason refineries have their own generator stations.

AND they use cobalt etc in the “refining” process and can’t reclaim it apparently

Had mine 5 years , no problems I have only had to charg away from home once and it was a doddle.
Do people remember in the early days of motoring you use to buy petrol at the chemist !!!
Things do change with time.( I sure it made runing a petrol car more diffiult than running a horse?

Sometimes you just have to think and plan things (if you can without Ai).
We lost internet for 55 days (well done Openreach) I still managed to charge my car at home using Octopus go intelligent. (just meant i waited till 11.30 before going to bed).
At present there seems to be the same anti EV crap circulating in the press! (may have something to do with the oil industry?)
Be positve its a great time to get an EV bargain.

I certainly visit the chemist once a month for all the multifarious potions and pills that keep me fired up each day. I’ve never yet had petroleum spirit supplied in the bag as far as I can tell
