PARKING BRAKE FAILS TO RELEASE

Good Afternoon.

I have a 2022 HS that covered approx 15000 kilometres. The park brake engages automatically when the ignition is switched off and normally disengages when brake button is pressed down. This morning, the brake did not release and I had to put the car into Drive and press the accelerator. It then disengaged with a jerk. I suspect that the current bad weather, wet and dirty may have caused the brake disc to stick but wonder if anyone else has experienced this? My next step will be to have the pads checked;

This is normal in very cold weather also if been on if the car is stood for a day or two, you will find that the brakes will release when you move.
