Has anyone else come across the problem that the passengers wiper doesn't clear the bonnet when being lifted and scrapes the paint on it.

Switch the car off and immediately flick the wiper switch.
They will go into a vertical park mode from which they can be lifted safely.
;)

Just spoke to dealer. Seemingly the MG4 has the same problem on the drivers side.
Very odd

It's a 'feature' of modern cars - been like that on my last 2 - where the wiper sits below the bonnet line to aid aerodynamics and styling.

From the MG5 manual, but I'm sure it's the same for all models

Our wipers make a terrible noise as the windscreen dries, I replaced them but they still make a noise. Not sure what else to try. The auto wiper seems to have a mind of its own .

Well if it's not the blades maybe it's the screen.🤷‍♂️

My thoughts as well.
I'd try cleaning it with something like methylated spirit.

I must have washed the screen loads of times, so never thought it might be the screen, ok I'll give that a go.
