Quick question. Is there a facility to turn off/on the wireless phone charger?

But seriously, no I haven't found a way to turn it off.

Is there a need to turn it off?, the phone will only charge if it's needed, otherwise it'll just sit there if it's already charged, alternatively you could place your phone in the slot provided in front of the charge pad?

The downside of using the wireless charging is that it's prone to overheating since it's not cooled. I connect the USB cable and leave it there when I want to charge it, as it's faster, so when the cable is connected it does not charge wirelessly. But yeah when I don't want to charge it I put it in the slot or face down

I don't think there is any way to turn off the wireless charger. I do the same, face down or in the slot.

Thanks for the replies. I find that the phone gets rather hot if wireless charging but it's slightly too big to fit in the forward slot due to its case. It's very rare that I actually need to charge the phone in-car, so being able to turn off the charger would have been handy.
