phone on wireless charger

My wife tells me that she was not allowed to make a mobile call because her phone was on the wireless charger! Is this correct and if so why? is it a bug? This seems a very strange limitation, and the board's Search didn't find any hits.

Never heard of this before. It's not going to be that car anyway, sounds like a problem with the phone. Was it overheating? Charging devices does warm them up, but unless you had the AC set to 40C it's unlikely to warm them enough to trigger safety warnings.

Tried it myself and it worked fine??? She says the message appeared on the infotainment screen, but must have been some random issue. If it happens again I'll take a photo of the screen.
