Has anyone managed to get this to work properly? I have moved the steering wheel in and out, up and down, even tried moving the seat. Also hands at 10 to 2 and quarter to 3, and still the warning keeps on coming on every few seconds. I know the camera is working because if I put my hand over the camera it warns me that the drivers face is blocked. I've just turned it off in the "intelligent profile" but really I shouldn't have to.

Not had that at all yet. Plenty of "don't drive tired" messages though.

How did you manage to turn it off permanently? On mine it turns back on everytime I get back in the car. That's why it's turned off in the personal profile but you still have to turn that on everytime you drive.

Sorry, that's what I meant.
I have to set my personal profile every time I drive of course but this is just one of the settings on the list so it doesn't require any additional action.

Ah, you can go to mgpilot and turn off all the stuff you don't want, then long press the custom button on screen to save it. Next time you drive you only have to tap the mgpilot button to activate/deactivate your settings.

Thanks but I've already done that, and a few other tweaks. I just wondered if anyone had managed to get it to work as it was designed to. It seems to think that I'm doing anything but concentrating on my driving.
Does yours ask you to confirm the settings when you select the Mg pilot?

Yes, you do have to confirm.

Ah this has been doing my head in, like I'm concentrating on driving and it's beeping at me. I found that if i don't look at the display behind the steering wheel enough, that's what triggers it.

But i would love to know all the scenarios that trigger that warning!

This is driving me absolutely crazy. The system feels like having an over-caffeinated driving instructor in the passenger seat yelling at me for things I haven’t done. I can be sitting bolt upright, eyes dead ahead, both hands perfectly placed on the wheel, and it still goes off like I’m texting on my phone while juggling a latte in the other hand, turning around to yell at the kids.

"Please focus on driving" it says to me, forcing me to fumble around in MG Pilot to turn the damn thing off!!

Then there is the "Don't drive while fatigued" because you had to cross the centre line to get past a parked car..

I definitely need to find time to dive into the manual and see. I haven't noticed it scrolling through the menus thus far though

It's either on or off as far as I can see.

Mine was going off every second (until I turned it off in Custom settings) and I think I may have found out why. I wear reactolite glasses which were darkened and hence reflective, hence the spy cam couldn't see my eyes. I tried driving without my glasses (I can still see reasonably well!) and this calmed the alarm down hugely.
Anyone else tried this and do all the people who have problems wear glasses?

It makes no difference whether I have my sunglasses on or not, it still goes off all the time. It seems like a good idea but it just doesn't seem to work as intended.

I think MG are trying too hard to stay the right side of the law and not get themselves sued.

That's the problem with all these safety systems manufacturers have to put in cars to receive a 5 star safety rating, car has to have them but they don't have to work properly.

The Driver Distration warning and I aren't friends yet. I think I might whack some duct tape over the sensor and see if that stops it.

More useless technology forced on us by bureaucrats.

Not only do they not test the cars to properly verify the technology works, nor do they study how the incessant bonging, alerts and frustration of such systems themselves contribute to a higher accident rate.

I imagine there are increasing numbers of short-tempered irritated drivers wound up by this tech who are driving poorly as a result.

Stick some goggle eyes facing it, that should fool it
