So I'm down to 10% and I'm at a fast charging station. I plugged in and presented my electroverse card. The screen on the charger said charging started, then after a second it said charging finished, remove cable.
I can't remove the damn thing. I've locked and unlocked the car repeatedly. I've also tried the emergency pull release. Is there anything else anyone can suggest apart from MG Assist?
Thanks

My cable got stuck once on a public AC charger. I phoned the charger helpline and they rebooted the charger which somehow released my cable. I had tried locking and unlocking but not the emergency release.

Ignore my earlier comment! I've just remembered that my cable was stuck in the charger, not the car (it was an AC charger that needed my own cable). It was the charger end that they released.

Where is the cable stuck? In your car or in the charge point?

A "fast" charger in the UK is actually an AC charge point of 7kW or higher, and many of them require you to use your own cable. Is it one of those, or are you meaning a Rapid charger with the bigger plug which also uses the DC sockets in your car?

If there is no charging going on, and the plug is stuck in the car, then there is a manual release in the boot - behind a square pop out cover on the left hand side as you look into the boot.

Thank you all for replying. I called the AA in the end. A combination of me pulling on the emergency release thing and him pulling the cable "up and out" worked. I think the added weight of the DC charger plus the fact that the cable was at full stretch, made it difficult to release. My home charger cable releases with minimal pulling force. This was the first time I'd used a DC charger and it clearly needs more force. It was the third charger I'd tried this morning. The previous two identified by the Electroverse app didn't work. All a bit frustrating and my first negative EV experience. Lessons have been learnt though!

Glad it worked out. Although I carry an Electroverse card, I rarely use it. I always aim for the Tesla chargers if there are any in range that are open to all. Never had a problem with any of those.
